Children at libraries and elementary schools all across the country are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday today. This morning the girls got to watch two episodes of their favorite PBS show, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That. We went to story time at our local library for the first time in about a month (sick kids, nap struggles, winter blues) and listened to "The Cat in the Hat", "Green Eggs and Ham", and "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?"
Then when we got home, I made green eggs and ham for lunch. The girls were hesitant to try it and kept saying "Eggs are LELLOW, not green!" but I finally convinced Helena to try it. And you know what? She liked it!!
helena is SO CUTE!

i told my kids they had to "earn" it though because they've been so bad lately. secret is, i want it way more than they do.
She's adorable! And eggs are "lellow" in our house, too. :)

ReplyDeleteThe kids in my class were the same way! They told me all week they wouldn't try it, then they did and they loved it!
