Juno is 6 months old!

I can't believe that six months have gone by since Junebug joined our family! I have grown so much in that time. Juno has been such a blessing for our family and we are all so grateful for her.

Juno weighs about 14 pounds, but that includes her cast, which adds 2-3 pounds. I have absolutely no idea how long she is. In fact, she hasn't been measured since she was 2 months old because she's been in some contraption or another since then! She was sleeping really well at night, but the cast has set us back and she has been waking up every 2 hours or so all night. I think she is having muscle spasms or just can't get comfortable. I'm considering going back to co-sleeping to see if that helps.

Juno is still a pretty happy girl, but she doesn't like to be put down. I'm sure a big part of that is that she is so sick of being propped up or flat on her back. She is ready to sit, roll, scoot, and crawl. In fact, when I lay her on her tummy to put her diaper on, it's obvious that she is trying so hard to scoot herself forward because her little bum moves up and down inside the cast. It's pretty darn cute!

She also wants badly to eat big girl food, but I'm still holding her off until her cast change next month--her second cast will be legs only so the diaper situation will be much less precarious. She reaches for forks and plates and her eyes never leave your fork when she's sitting on your lap at the table.

The funniest thing about our little June is this:

Can you tell what she is doing? Probably not. Take a closer look.

Yes, she is chewing on the top of her cast. It's a great built-in chew toy for a baby who constantly gums anything she can get her hands on!

  2. SHE IS SOOOO CUTE!!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you got a skirt on her with her cast. I have never seen anyone try that and she looks great.

So funny she eats her cast.

I was wondering how the sleeping was going. Praying that she starts sleeping better.

I'm sure she can't wait to have food, but it is probably wise of you till she gets the new cast/brace.
