Update: Carpet Disaster

If anyone in the Davis County area needs a carpet cleaner, I have the one for you to use--and one for you not to use!!

First, the one not to use. I called American Carpet Cleaners shortly after our carpet disaster Friday afternoon. He came out, cleaned it, charged us $65, and left. It looked like it had faded a little while it was wet, but by the time it had dried, there was absolutely no difference from how it looked before he arrived.

I was mad.

I called him and he asked me what I had expected. Obviously I had expected it to look better, even if it didn't come out all the way. If I had expected it to look the same, I would have saved my money and done nothing.

Now for the carpet cleaner you should use. Riley's Carpet Cleaners cleaned the carpet and made quite a bit of difference, as you can see from the above picture, and they did it for free!!

Yes, you read that right. A wonderful neighbor uses them and asked them to do what they could for me, so they did it without charging.

Doesn't it make you feel so good when people out there are nice just because they can be, not because they have to be?
