Bedroom hell(p)

So, whose master bedroom is the junk room?

*raises hand*

Nobody ever sees it, so it just makes sense for it to be the last room to be furnished/decorated and the first room to heap junk in, right?

Well, this year that is changing at our house!

We are finally going to do something about our master bedroom!

This is what our master bedroom looks like currently. One wall painted navy blue and the rest are still builder beige.

I've got some ideas, but I need your help. We are going to be painting the rest of the room the same color (navy blue) and I am dying trying to find an accent color that Jason and I both like. He has vetoed mustard yellow (my favorite combo) because it is too hipster (when is he going to accept that he is married to a hipster??) and I'm drawing a blank. I have two funky bedside tables that need a coat of spraypaint and probably some glaze, too, but I have to pick a color first!

So.... go!

I love this girl's blog: http://kfddesigns.blogspot.com/2009/11/living-room.html

She paints furniture for a living but she has done some really cool color combos! Good luck!

Grey? Or make your second choice hot pink and maybe mustard yellow will sound better to your husband.

My bedroom is the same color! I think asparagus green looks so pretty with the blue. I would pant your tables a glossy green

I LOVE the idea of coral and blue...and you could maybe somehow make it a little bit seaside themed...without being too beach-housey.

Bright shiny white.....(with or without glitter accents..I think Martha Stewart has a white paint with glitter)

I was thinking a nice clean white too. Then maybe you could accent with other colors...like with throw pillows, vases, etc. However, I'm sure anything you do will look great. What color does Jason want?

I think sandy beige is a great combo with navy blue. Boring maybe, but soothing.
