"sister is my new mother, Mother!"

So maybe my clever quote-title doesn't really have anything to do with Mother's Day, but it was the only quote I could think of with "mother" in it.
{Happy Mother's Day, Mom!}
I am so grateful that you are my mom. You have always  been there for me, even when I was a bratty teenager (and don't say I wasn't that bad, because I know I was!) You have willingly sacrificed so much for our family and I'm so grateful for your example. Thank you for giving me the best childhood ever, for supporting me through those turbulent teenage years, and for being one of my best friends now that I am an adult. I love you!!!

And now, a true story about kids eating off the floor: One day when I was a little girl (I must have been under 7, because we still lived in our first house in Statesville) my mom was unloading groceries from the van. She dropped a gallon of milk on the driveway (probably because she had three little kids underfoot) and it burst and spilled all over. Me and Tyler and Josh dropped to our knees and lapped up the milk with our tongues, like little cats, and my mom just laughed. "My little kitty-ran up a tree! Sat on a limb and looked at me. 'Come, Kitty--come down!' I said. And down she comes as fast as she can, to drink all of the milk I poured in her pan! Slurp, slurp, slurp, slurp!"
