If you haven't noticed, I have been in a very creative mood lately. I can't keep my hands off my sewing machine (or my money out of the cash register at JoAnn's). Every day I find more things that I want to make. Unfortunately for me, I have neither enough time nor money to get to everything. Lest I forget some of the things on my list, here are some of my upcoming projects:
- Finish spray-painting my junky old park bench red (wrought iron and all!)
- Outdoor pillows to go with old park bench
- This office chair makeover
- Spray paint my very junky old craft desk to match my new office chair
- This awesome advent calendar
- Halloween costumes for the girls--current choices are a dragon and either a princess or a knight, a pair of twinkling stars, or Mater from Cars and ???
- Tempe's birthday outfit: twirly jean skirt , plus I need to "remake" her flamingo shirt. Funny story about that. I found the cutest turquoise shirt with a pink flamingo on it at Target. Remember her birthday party theme? I had to buy it. It was even on clearance for $2.98! The only problem is it is size 3 months instead of 3T--and it was the last one. But I have some ideas on how to fix it...
- I have major plans for our next family portrait and the frame it will go in, which involves the gaudiest frame I can find and more red spray paint.
- I still need to finish some Christmas gifts for the girls--I want to add to their dress up box.
- Speaking of Christmas gifts, I might as well say that I plan on making gifts for our families this year. But we haven't drawn names yet, so I can't narrow it down to what... so Austin, if you're reading this, start thinking of ideas for me in case I draw your name :)
- Finally, I plan on making more soft blocks and crayon rolls for the Festival of Trees--my mother-in-law is on a committee.
And keep in mind that my Blogoversary is in November and one or more of these projects might be up for grabs...
