Today I had to do one of my most dreaded chores.
It's something I hate to do because it takes me a full two hours--all of naptime. Meaning I don't get a chance to sew anything at all until Jason gets home. It's so mentally exhausting that by the time I am done and the girls are awake, I am ready to crash for a few hours.
I had to make my grocery list today.
ugh.
It takes so long because I have a "system", but I don't really think my system saves me all that much money. So I've decided to try my hand at couponing.
But after this afternoon I'm not so sure.
It is a headache. And it takes a long time. And I think I might end up spending more than I normally do because things are a good buy, so I feel like I have to buy them now.
I would like to be a coupon queen who feeds my family of four on $150/month. I really would. Can I do it?

I find that couponing is annoying as well and I always feel added pressure to buy an item I normally wouldn't because it's on sale. When all these people say, "Oh I feed my family of four for 50 dollars a week," I just roll my eyes. They must be eating sloppy joes for all their meals.
It's just me and my husband and we spend at least 100 a week on groceries and 100 a week on eating out. I wish you the best of luck on being a Coupon Queen!
You-Can-Do-It! Then, tell me how you did it! :)
you can always price match at walmart. I'm no good at it but my sis in law does it and saves lots of money!
Sure you can. Check out Hillbilly housewife. You can also google frugal grocery. We manage to feed our family of 7 for about $500- $550 a month. That generally includes diapers, etc. If you make it from scratch, it is a LOT cheaper. And better tasting and better for your health. We are trying to avoid the high fructose corn syrup and other "fake sugars". You can do it. Also, look into once a month cooking. In one ay, you make 30 days worth of meals. It saves a TON of money and then there is no need to run out and buy BK or McD's. You will eat better and more healthy. You can do it!! ;)
