Good news from the ortho

I have never in my life been so happy to say that I was wrong!!!
Juno's doctor was able to get us in this week instead of in two weeks (possibly because I called and begged....) and so we went in yesterday morning at 8 am for an x-ray.
Woohoo! Hip is still in the socket!!
I was surprised but absolutely thrilled to get that news.
Juno's hip is firmly in place, her socket is deepening nicely, and her growth plates are starting to catch up to the other side. Doc said the length discrepency I was noticing was below the knee and probably due to immature growth plates, but not significant enough to be a cause for concern. Her HD hip has great mobility and he told me not to worry about anything. We don't even have to go back until her birthday!!!

Do you see that little darling walking across the room? You'd never know anything was ever wrong with her, huh?
Unfortunately, I'm worried that something is wrong. I noticed last week that her left leg (her HD leg) is noticeably shorter than the right. I've been checking regularly because I know it's a red flag--to check, I sit her against the wall and stretch both her legs out with her heels against my palm and her knees against the ground. Her left doesn't quite touch my palm and her knees are uneven as well. Today I called her ortho and talked to the physician's assistant, who scheduled an appointment in two weeks to do an x-ray.
We won't know what's up until we see the x-ray, but there is a possibility that her hip is coming out of the socket again--yes, even though she is walking. If that is what is happening... well... I don't even want to think about it :(
